Wordless Wednesday

Here are some pictures from the last couple of weeks.
(Ramona actually got 100% on this spelling test. The students grade each others' papers in her class, and the friend that graded her test didn't want her to get 100, so she marked a couple wrong. At least the teacher caught it!)

Recipes

I have finally been getting out of my cooking rut...
you know...when it seems like you are cooking the same go-to meals over-and-over?
Here are some of the new recipes I have tried recently.

(The picture shows the soup without cheese for my daughter who doesn't like cheese. I put cheese on mine...very yummy!)

(I made this recipe into muffins. I followed the recipe exactly, except baked for 15 minutes. The kids loved these for breakfast with honey on them!)

The above picture is of my flour jar. I like to use both white and whole wheat flour in my recipes, so I just alternate pouring them into a large jar (that I got from Walmart). When I scoop it out to use in my recipes, I get a good mix of both. I love how it looks like sand art!

Homemade Cleaning Supplies and More

Here are a few cleaning product recipes I have been collecting. Pinterest is a great resource for finding different recipes and options for more natural (and more economical) cleaning products. I have noticed most are pretty much the same recipe with a few variations.

Halloween is Coming....

Can you believe Halloween is almost here already???
We have been tossing around costume ideas. Ramona's ideas include: a vampire and and a Native American. Charles has said he likes the idea of being a monkey or a lego guy. Sienna has said Pocahontas and various other princess type costumes. I'm sure they will change their minds by the day. We also have to think of costumes for them to wear for Nevada Day. Wild horses have been at the top of the list. We definitely have fun deciding on and making our costumes!

I plan to make a tutorial for one of my Halloween themed polymer clay beads. Any requests?
Also, for all of you beaders out there, don't forget about my witch hat earring pattern!
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

I thought I'd jump on the "Wordless Wednesday" bandwagon. Even though, these are obviously words;) Here are some pictures that sum up our last couple of weeks.
